I'd say you'd be in a worse position if you withdrew your interest and ended up with Unsworth. If his head has been turned, we coped pretty well with that yesterday so I have faith we'll be okay. Thanks for the concern though.

You'd know all about 'time' given how much of it you are taking to make a mess of not getting our manager.

Mate it takes weeks sometimes longer to thrash out these deals. Even in standard jobs it can be weeks before you actually land the job and everything is finalised. You're just making yourself look stupid by being so naive. Do you actually believe that in the football world of multi million pound deals, agents, contracts, legalities, settlements and paper work galore, that it is as simplified as a club just calling up and saying to another, "Yeah we want your manager, here's the money, thanks. He starts tomorrow." As I said earlier, United were in talks with Lukaku from January that we know of, in reality it couldve been much longer as the simple fact is that media and the fans are the last to hear about it. This Silva deal has been going on since before we played you lot and I'd be very surprised if we didn't land him and if we don't now we will come summer.

Seriously. Silva is doing a decent job at Watford. But the jury is out on whether he suits Evertons needs/ambitions.
Like I say, doing well currently. But no guarantees that transfer across automatically to our current crop of players. Massive job to be done here. But if he does come here, and if he does get it right, it takes him to the next level and beyond. An ambitious manager would find it difficult not to move on in those circumstances.
If he decides to stay, or your Board remains steadfast, fair enough.
