I am a Watford fan and don't come in peace but not looking for conflict either
Everton are a bigger club than Watford but with only one trophy in 30 years are massive underachievers, a bit like Newcastle
Am sure that Silva is interested in the job but disappointed to think he could be prepared to jump ship only 11 games into the season and also very frustrating that Everton seem clueless in their search for a new manager. Surely Koeman should only have been sacked if a replacement was ready to come in straight away rather a month of inactivity, you can rest assured that if Silva does go the Pozzo's will have someone in mind who is ready to come in straight away.
Is it fair to portray Watford as sacking managers, no it's not. They give only short term transfers as they expect those that brought in to coach rather than manage with minimal disruption when changes are made and are not saddled with having to pay off staff on long contracts.
Players brought in by owners rather than coach who has some say but process goes on whether manager in place or not. Pozzo family have one of the best scouting systems in the world Alexsis Sanchez is a product and a recent example is Richarlison. Very canny too in the transfer market, Will Hughes and Chalobah two England U21 products for less than 10m.
Anyhow back to Silva he may go to Everton but not cheaply. Not much in recent days has come out from the Watford end of things but you can be very sure that Adam Leventhal's tweet this morning is Watford's take on things. He is a massive Watford fan and very rarely wrong
