I noticed a few people saying it before the game, whilst it was a game we needed to win to have any chance of claiming 7th, I never really considered it a must win myself. I mean the season was pretty much over, 2 wins on the bounce and we are back in the hunt for a respectable 7th or 8th, which is great considering we were in danger of dropping to 14th only a few weeks ago.

We need to get in the habit of competing for Europe every year. If we fart off the rest of the season and end up nowhere near Europe (a real possibility with Wolves having a game in hand and difficult fixtures coming up), we don’t look attractive to other players.

The endless cycle of mediocrity has to end at some point and we can’t keep this revolving door of managers going. One of them has to stick. Chaining wins together is a start.

I get that. I aint anti-Europa, I think its vital to us kicking on, as you say making the club more attractive.

To be fair we backed up the Chelsea result there. It should have been a more comfortable win really. But apart from that Newcastle game, we do seem to be getting it together over the past few games.Let's focus now and trying to claim 7th, and hopefully build up some confidence and momentum in the process.Has Marco turned things around?Hopefully he has.I've slated Silva at times, but he deserves a lot of credit as of now imo.

It’s always enjoyable when Everton can beat oppositions and won on a regular basis. Consistency is the key.

Since the RS home games, it’s starting to look better and fortune may turn thanks to the management and the players.

1 point off 7th, which the manager said it himself getting Euro is always the target.

So please let this continues, keep it up and I am happy to apologise in May when we get 7th and Euro. I care about results and I am satisfied with that lately.

Lets stop the knee jerking after a couple of good or bad results! Time is the key, we may have to suffer next season of inconsistent performances but as long as it’s less than this season then it’s progress.

I’m not a lover or hater of Silva but I’ve seen enough so far to think he could be successful here.

I hope Silva is a success here, we really need to stop chopping and changing managers. Yesterday was a very good performance, but, we did not concede, my worry with this side is, as soon as we concede we fall apart.
On a number of occasions this season we have looked a good side in games and then conceded against the run of play and started to panic.
If, and it’s a big if, Silva can sort this out by changing the fragile mind set of a number of the players, then he may well turn out to be the manager we have been looking for.
I would have to say that, on occasion, the football has been very easy on the eye this season.

Arguably our best performance of the season. Still not convinced yet but if we keep playing like that till the end of the season then he deserves another season.
