That is extremely, extremely kind. I’ve been struggling to think of anyone outside of Digne.

It's all academic, but let's say for sake of argument it's Wolves' 3-5-2 system.

Digne over Jonny/Doherty, Richarlison over Jota, probably Gomes or Gueye over Dendoncker, and one of our CBs over Bennett, probably.

Of course its easy to say when we are severely out of form and they are playing well.

If both teams were in form, I'd probably have Gomes, Richarlison, Digne, one of our centre backs (because Bennett is rubbish) and maybe Bernard or Sigurdsson.

But at the moment, I'd swap our whole team for Raul Jimenez.

Sigurdsson would destroy their style of play, he wouldn’t get near their side. Jota is perfect for that role for them. Agree one of our CB’s would probably get in as they play 3, they’d rotate with Bennett. Disagree Gomes gets in ahead of Neves or Moutinho.

“BuT pSg WoNtED gUeYE”

Yeah, which baffled every single sane person on here.
Not really.

They were lacking numbers in midfield, in particular someone to retrieve the ball when they lose possession and Gueye is one of the best at that.

Playing in a well drilled system where players are always moving and looking to help their teammates out for a simple ball and with players like Mbappe, Neymar, Cavani, Draxler, Verratti etc. who's first touch, movement and technical ability are lightyears ahead of anyone's at Everton would have made his all round game a hell of a lot easier than it is at Everton.

I've said this before but Holgate would be ideal for them on the right of their three at the back, I wouldn't be surprised if they came in for him in the Summer.

You have said it before. Twice in this thread lol.
I agree tho, Holgate in a three looked solid. Would not mind seeing him in a 3 with Mina & Zouma

@ForeverEverton West Ham are very much like us, tbh.

If we'd had the injuries West Ham have had, we'd be in the bottom 3.

Lanzini, Arnautovic, Yarmolenko, Balbuena, Wilshere, Reid and Carroll have all been out for long periods of time. At least 5 of them are guarenteed starters, too. Including their best player overall.

Would've been like us losing Richarlison for the season upon signing him, only having Sigurdsson, Digne or Gueye fit once every couple of months and Zouma, Keane and Gomes fit once a month.

If only.

Which goes back to the question: what does he ACTUALLY do? He dorsnt make any player better then what they were last year, he doesn't have a plan A much less a plan B, he doesn't have any idea what a defence is SUPPOSED to do and he doesn't have ANY idea how to break teams down.
He's just a very timid guy who doesn't inspire confidence in anyone.

People will probably say Gueye and Sigurdsson would get in their team, but they wouldn’t. They might make the bench, but they’d hardly ever get on. We are very bad.

And this is the crux of it, we are not very good. We have ouverhyped our team to the extreme the past few seasons (me included) and it’s gave us unrealistic expectations. The unrealistic expectations are not being met hence the fume.
We are firmly a mid table team at the moment regardless of the money spent. Silva, although isn’t anywhere near performing well enough has us mid table, this is where we are as a club. A mid table club isn’t sacking a manager for being in mid table.
Wolves are a quality team with a quality manager, only Digne would get a game at wolves.
