Should have got shut of him at the start of this 17 day break to avoid any further pain and damage. His abysmal record has got to be taken into account when people suggest that he needs to be given more time. In reality it means giving someone more time to do something that they have never actually been capable of doing with any club in the premier league. It is more about hope and miracles and nothing to do with actual proven capabilities. Why would he be any more capable now or in a few more matches of something he is incapable of doing. It is insane. The fact that we have been proper abysmal since last November is just business as usual when you look at this man's record. It is what it is.

Yet another calamitous footballing decision from Moshiri and he needs to be told to take a step back and leave these type of footballing decisions to Brands i.e an experienced Pro who actually knows what he is doing and is capable of making the right decision and moving us forwards.

But surely some could have been tried off the bench?

Why? If they’re not good enough. Which ones do you mean? DCL and Davies and Lookman have pretty much been on the bench all season and when they’ve come on they’ve not exactly blown us all away.

While I get the Holgate thing, I don’t even think Silva even thought of playing him at right back. Even though he should have.

Cannot say which ones are good enough as I have little knowledge on their playing but I do on the current lot which at times is lamentable. Talking of older players why is McCarthy just warming his back side on the bench all the time. Why isn't he tried and put some one else on the bench for a chance.

God knows what’s happening with Jmac. I hope he’s sorting a move away out in the summer to be honest.

Wolves have a better team than us yes.

  • They have a better GK
  • They have a better RB
  • Coady is better than any of our CBs
  • Jonny isn't as good as Digne but is actually a RB playing LB - so they have two better RBs!
  • Neves and Moutinho would walk into our midfield
  • They have a better striker
We'd get 4-5 players in their team. They'd get 6 in ours, at least.

Mate you won’t say this at the start of season. Because Wolves are now 7th while Silva has this team struggling to beat dross at home and lingering at mid-table.

If you talk about prestige (you see on papers) and international reputation of the players, this Everton team must be 7th.

Their keeper is less erratic than Pickford because he is more experienced. Pickford is England no.1 and will definitely improve although he really needs to improve on dealing with high ball.

Coleman is the Irish captain and he was one of the best right-back before the major injury. Their right-back has done well this season, sure.

Coady, come on...on papers he is not better than Zouma, Mina and Keane. They are regular full international players and made their names before coming to Everton.

Digne is superior to their left-back in terms of ability and international reputation.

Neves and Moutinho - Gana and Gomes on papers or international reputation? Similar.

They do have a proper striker which Koeman was closed to sign last season.

People were praising Burnley last season and some might believe they got a better than us. Where are they now? Wolves are doing fine because we are crap at the moment with the inability to defend probably. It’s down to the manager.

What the hell is international reputation?

Wolves are a good team. They were a good team last year and improved with two proven players in Moutinho and Patricio (who had far more 'international prestige' than any of our players, btw). Jonny is a superb full-back as well and they added Dendoncker and phased him in slowly. Jimenez has been excellent for them.

Mate we said on papers which mean reputation of players. On papers we have enough to get 7th and ahead of Wolves and West Ham. This is just we got the wrong manager who has about 33% winning rate written on his records.

Just look at the points we dropped against dross teams at home. This is the manager’s fault who I believe should not be appointed in the first place. Or else we would be have been sitting comfortably at 7th.

Please, please, for the love of all that is holy, stop using international caps as a marker of quality.

Mike we have been saying “on papers”. On papers means reputation of players. Then his records with his past clubs and international prestige. I am not saying international caps as a market of quality. Where are the people who praised Burnley last season?

His records are/were than Silva. Is this matter?

He would get more points than the current manager had he stayed.

100% correct, I did not want BFS as manager but he got 7th without Richarlison, Zouma, Mina, Gomes, Bernard and Digne. Not to be sniffed at! Imagine Silva without them? Doesnt bear thinking about....

What does international “prestige” have to do with anything? Coleman being Ireland’s captain doesn’t make him a better player either on paper or in real life. Zouma having one full cap for France doesn’t make him any better on paper. Even Pickford being England’s number 1 ahead of the absolute garbage he’s competing against doesn’t mean anything. Wolves’ keeper is not only his country’s number 1 but has won a tournament. Oh and Koeman was never “close” to signing Jimenez.
