A bit unrealistic - this season only Liverpool and Man City would have that expectation.

I always thought it was a ridiculous thing to criticise Moyes for failing to win a trophy, and failing to win away at any of big teams. We were unlucky not to beat Arsenal in 2010, it was a jammy deflection. Distin's goal at Anfield was wrongly disallowed in 2013. Mcfadden got a goal wrongly disallowed against Chelsea in 2007. If we hadn't had all those injuries such as Jags, Arteta, and Yakubu we may of won the final in 2009. Martinez only won at Old Trafford in a season, when Sunderland, West Brom and Newcastle won at Old Trafford.

We should keep Silva for at least the next couple of years, as we're screwed in the transfer market.

No point getting a better manager in when we can't back him with money.

So we might as well wait until most of the dross we can't shift, have had their contracts expire.

Im indifferent to Silva really, but the players he has bought give me hope. He should be given a chance. Shift the crap in the summer and add more of similar quality as he has we are in business.

I want a manager who not only expects us to be in the top six but actually gets us there, never mind fluke a major victory every time Halley’s Comet is visible overhead.

Funny thing was, I enjoyed it much more when we were the over performing underdogs. We may have had less money, but we had pride and passion.

Now loads of people are miserable because even coming into a bit of money has made no difference. In fact there is just apathy l, and a bunch of players who have no pride in the shirt. To top it off we have an absolute mercenary in the dugout.

I enjoyed it far more when we were known as the Mersey Millionaires and I was cheering on Ball, Kendall, Morrisey et al , as we won Titles and Cups.
Now there’s a team to eulogise about.

Brands and Moshiri decided to back Silva in the short-term and let him hang on to Gana, even though it makes very little sense financially long term.

Given the outlay from Moshiri under Koeman and Walsh I think it was quite a show of backing that Silva was allowed to spend big money on Richarlison Mina and Digne in the summer whilst effectively being allowed to give up on Klaasen Bolasie Rooney etc.
