Stomach churning end to the game, but as an Evertonian you always have it in the back of your mind. However, today, I only felt we’d win. Thought we absolutely controlled the game for long periods, and we never looked like conceding. Defensively we’ve been strong for weeks....and that’s something the Silva doubters really didn’t expect. The speed with which Silva and Brands have changed 5he culture and direc5ion of the Club is very encouraging. There’s something stirring at GP.

A piece of me thinks we’ll give Newcastle a hiding....

He was bang on with everything today. We matched them in every way which isn’t easy for any side to do with the form they’re in.

Gutting that our luck struck again but he’s transformed us in 6 months. I’m as impressed with how well we defend as much as how we attack.

A couple more signings (one being a top striker so Richarlison can go on the left) and we’d be a seriously good side.

Amazing how bad we were at Anfield in the league under Allardyce last year yet got away with a point. Silva sets us up like that and we come away with nothing. Somewhere Fat Sam is probably chuckling into his Sunday night pint of wine thinking he´s vindicated as the better manager.

No chance, we've got nothing to worry about under Silva, we went there without fear took the game to them, they [Poor language removed] themselves and we'v got done by a fluke of a goal/error in the 95 minute

FA cup draw tomorrow, please give us those pretenders at home and dispatch them early, we're better than them and I don't feel scared for us against them anymore, Silva has got them sussed

I'd settle for Woking at home all the same.

Silva is the right man but we need to back him by buying some top finishers. Right now we only have two goalscorers in richy and siggurdsson. We've created chances aplenty at the Emirates, old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and now anfield and we have one measly pen to show for it. We've got a lot of great players but they crumble in front of goal.

Fully behind Macro. Really pleased at our progress, especially the performances against the strongest sides where only fine margins separate us.

That's Arsenal, Utd, Chelsea and the RS we've gone to now this season and taken the game to them. Alas only one point to show for it though which is mostly down to bad luck and poor refereeing decisions.

If we keep this approach the tide will turn and we will get the results eventually, there is no doubt about that.

It's all down to one man. Keep the faith.

It’s good to see a more unified fan base. I can moan as well as anyone but it drags you down and you just want to see genuine improvement, something to get enthusiastic about you know?

This fella isn’t daft, brands isn’t daft either and if they have big egos they are yet to reveal them. We will have ups and downs this season, it’s important to stick together and get behind the manager and players like today after a horrible way to lose the game.

Instead of blood boiling tantrums towards him or the club (which tbh would of been a understandable first reaction given the way we lost) there seems to be more of togetherness which is what we need.

It’s early days and there is a lot to improve but at least it’s something to be enthusiastic about. I like him .

It is the only way to progress. Cannot continue to do what we used to do and accept the opposition are better therefore shut up shop and try and nick a point. With the new signings and new manager has come a different mindset and belief that they can beat anyone so will attempt to beat them without being gun ho about it. Hasn't quite come off and shows that instead of being miles away from the better teams we are only yards away. All this in half a season so something positive is happening. A true test will come at the end of the season being able to keep hold of Richarlison and Pickford and hoping we have a chance of signing Gomes. You just know the bigger clubs will come sniffing to try and break up our building of a good team hence back to square one. That is why it is so tough for any team outside the top 4/5/6 to progress and join them because they won't let us.
