Don't think anybody can argue with that but from - Wolves, Southampton (H) Bournemouth, Huddersfield (H) and West Ham (H) we are sitting on a -1 goal difference. We still look vulnerable to the exact same things we were last season despite not facing any side of note.

I do think we have been unlucky in one or two of the above games but you look at those 5 fixtures and we should be doubling our points tally.

Early stage yes but if we are going to do something worthy we would have hold onto the leads at Wolves and Bourn (ok harsh but holding on 2-0 lead is a must) and beat Huddersfield and West Ham comfortably at home.

It’s his fault we don’t have a striker.. but it’s not his fault we have to play kenny and holgate also dcl wouldn’t get in any other top 10 side

We were absolutely awful today and appear to have actually gone backwards the last 2 games particularly defensively and we should have arguably done better in all of the other games too, however it is absolutely ridiculous to be calling for Silva's head after just 5 games. He is going to need to be given at least a full season and a couple of transfer windows to have any chance of repairing the damage inflicted upon this club by the last 3 numpty managers.

I definitely want and expect to see a steady improvement forward though, not backwards as the last 2 games have been but the guy needs to have access to all of his players including the ones who are suspended, injured or not quite match fit to be able to do that. We are going to need to be patient no matter how frustrating it is at these early days.

Highlight of the day was seeing him in that little box and thinking about the good times we had and how we miss those days. Maybe one day we can get back to where had had us.

The pigeons all took the day off around Walton when they heard ginger-minge was back at Goodison.

At least if we're trying to be positive we can say the new signings have so far been positive. Just got to hope in time that Silva can shift out most of those that weren't brought in by him or brands as a lot aren't up to standard.

If we can get in players more of the standard of digne, Bernard and Richarlison we'll be heading in the right direction.

The backup are pretty much rubbish so we must sign more new players in January.

It’s to early but we saw in his time at Watford he was eventually found out. I don’t think it matters who we bring in though the recruitment has been so bad.

What concerns me though is there has been no improvement in my opinion from last season and that’s a worry

Three of the players on that pitch today were his players, three! Lets see how we do when more than 50% of the team are players he brought in? My Lord, some of you do love a good hissy fit, dont you?

yeah as we were playing i was going to state we were only three players away from our ideal starting XI, then i started totting them up and if our best team is something like:

Pickford
Coleman Mina Zouma Digne
Gueye Gomes
Walcott Bernard Siggurdsson
Richarlison

which it could very well be, then we only had 6 of that team starting.
