What I can’t understand is that we needed a LB, we needed one last year as well, but now we’ve bought one, and we needed a CB and these lads have gone and bought one, and we also needed a midfielder who could pick a pass, and these barstewards have only gone and bought one (free transfer).......so what I want to know is, what the hell is going on here.......

I think the view on the continent of this guy is a lot different than in England. Our media see him as a huge risk due to Hull and Watford but the Portuguese speaking new signings have all mentioned what an influence he has been on them joining. They of course might give more credence to his work with Estoril and Sporting Lisbon than we have.

And quite right, he demands a lot of respect for what he's achieved imo and it was sad to see a lot of our fans say the same as what the English media were.

We've lost five pre season games in a row leaking goals all over the shop and yet we're going into the season on a massive high.

Then again five of that back six leaking goals won't be in our best XI soon.
