We're not going backwards.

Squad has been culled with about 15 players going out, age of the squad has been reduced, different style of play being brought in.

Next step is to look at areas to strengthen to implement the style. Which will happen next season.
Are we progressing? No. Therefore we are going backwards. Every team wants to push the top 6 and many of them are much closer than we are in terms of performances and results.

We won't be able to hold onto our best players for long, and if the season keeps going like this then not only will they likely want out anyway - but the loser mentality will further engrain into their minds.

Were not going backwards????

We had a better team when bk was at the helm.
We have spent over 300m and are worse.

Not achieving el football next season will be unforgivable.

The defeats falls on his shoulders. It was obvious the tactics were at fault and Walcott was garbage.

Yet very little changed, kept 2 in midfield and just decided to launch everyone up tip. Could have played till 2020 and wouldn’t have scored

Shambles

I think it does. Sam was no genius but he at least produced a base level of consistency. This clown isn’t even able to provide that.

Park bus. Kick ball long. = % football = generally less goals conceded and a better base to possibly nick wins and build up points

Change a squad from that style to build something more attacking with a higher ceiling of possible success = more risks taken and possibility of being more open and the team not gelling right away = possibly less points in short term

Whether Silva turns out to be the right man or not...we don't know....but I sure as hell have no interest in the preferred tactics of that corrupt oaf or Moyes at his worst. Got us nowhere. So the comparison means diddly squat because last season is not how we want to do things.

We need a manager who organises us but risks more and attacks more and whoever that is there is always the possibility of a first half of a season like this. Is too early to say if Silva will or won't be able to progress us in the way needed.

Got it wrong by sticking with the 5 against a one-man strike force. Causes issues for a backline. Works versus the two as we saw against Burnley.

Still, time to turn it around with back-to-back league home games.

Of course were going backwards, were culling rubbish, bringing in better players, and getting less points.
We don't even look like progressing
