We need quick mobile CB's who can play a high line.

If we don't have those then the season is going to be a struggle i fear as Silva will be going away from a system/style of play his teams have always set up to one where he's going to be spending half a season setting the side up for damage limitation until the january window.

i doubt if he will play for damage limitation

he would rather see us relegated or at least in the relegation zone than modify his strategy.

they also need to be world class because i cannot see him getting the best out of players, they will have to be at the top of their game on their own terms.

none of the players we have been linked with or are likely to bring in fall into that category at all.

you'd need varane, de bryune and hazard to make him look good.

Moyes is a good manager - left us much better off than when he came. Silva seems like a snake who sells snake oil!

The big difference is Silva needs players who will simply press and bust a gut to win the ball back. Not hard to find but it takes time. Martinez needed Iniesta and Xavi.
