Another way to look at it would possibly be that he has been in the job 4 1/2 months. we have improved as a side.

What you expecting? blowing every side in the league away with ease?

Are you actually that dense?

Have we really improved?

Player wise yes, but teams like Bournemouth, West ham, Leicester, Watford and Wolves are all around us in the table.

I would argue the bar is that low after last seasons disaster that the fans think draws against Newcastle and Watford at home are good.

We never had a top striker last season yet still won games like this with the dinosaur managing us.

Fact is he's put massive pressure on himself and anything less than 7th this season is a shambles.

Massive signings needed in Janaury.

Anything less than 2 incomings of a high quality CF & RW/CM we have a real battle on our hands for a laboured 7th finish.

Was we up against the best team in the World at Goodison in the last two games?

Nope but we drew with them. You're being an arsehole by suggesting that he's miserably failing as a manager for not beating them. Not great results, no, but he's 4 months into his first season and the positives by far outweigh the negatives thus far.

300m spent in the last 5 transfer windows you would expect that to improve

Plus gomes and zouma that's around 60m worth of talent on loan aswell.

I'd expect Liverpool to have won at least one trophy based on the amount they've spent over a decade, giving a manager years to build a squad too.

I’m being an arsehole for suggesting he should be beating Newcastle and Watford at home??

Ok.

Er, as with other posters, no need for the name-calling eh ?

Too much Eggnog Tommy kid?
Go and have a lie down for the rest of the day.

You are in danger of gettin yourself in bother here.

It was only a question!

It's a forum, everybody has an opinion.

Just seems like some are stuck in a constant unrealistic path of misery.

The side has improved, it takes time, doesn't happen overnight. Rome wasn't built in a day, we aren't going to be winning every game - as soon as some of you can accept some of these BASIC facts you might get yourselves out of this spiral of misery.

4 1/2 months and people writing him off already - it's absolutely pathetic behaviour from grown men who really should know better.

How about starting their own thread, so they can post their vitriol on there and save clogging everything else up ?
