Most of the clubs around us also spend exorbitant amounts of money in pursuit of the same dream of gaining entry to the elite.
It took sustained spending over many seasons for clubs such as Chelsea and City to establish themselves at the top. Add to that the new rules on spending designed to at least inhibit the ability of clubs to ‘buy’success and it is evident that it may take many more seasons before we achieve our dreams if indeed we ever do.
We have however put in place a modern management structure and recruited the best people to fill those positions and clearly have the requisite ambition to pursue a place at the top of the table.
We in turn can merely dream , hope and support our team.
