It's probably been mentioned before, seeing as though it first aired two weeks ago, but I found Troy Deeney's comments on Silva during his Monday Night Football appearance to be very encouraging.

Deeney said that he was the best manager he's worked under, based on the innovative and enjoyable training sessions he ran. He also talked about how clear an idea Silva has of how he wants his team to play, and that he was ruthless in culling anyone who didn't buy into his methods. Quite high praise, considering they only worked together for a short time before the ignominious parting of ways.

There's no denying that it's been a very disappointing start, but I do think that once a few more players are fit there'll soon be enough points on the board to ease our fears.
He also said his head was turned at the first sign another club was in for him and he carried that onto the training ground with him

I reckon we'll struggle more than we needed to without a new striker. That has to be addressed in January.

Silva will be given to at least next winter to get his team playing and winning.

I think a new striker was just a stretch too far and also Marco probably expected Cenk to be scoring more (any) than he has.

Still think Rico can play up top and Bernard on the wing.

I genuinely believe that

Rico
Bernard Siggy Walcott is top 6 stuff.

All internationals, all competitive, all work hard and have football brains.

He did, and that doesn't reflect well on Silva.

It is, however, very unlikely that another club will be willing to offer him anything close what Everton pay their managers anytime soon.

Most managers jump ship, when bigger club come in for them mate, it`s just the way it is > cash dollar.

It`s just that Watford made much more of it than most other clubs do.

Moyes was meeting Ferguson on the sly for months, before he took the Man U job.

The difference being that we didn`t whine and carry on whining like little bishes afterwards.

granted, but after the interest watford went on a shocking run of form because of it, hence why they have complained to the fa about it

Nice to see you onboard David.

Now is not the time for panic, patience is required here, long time plan with Marcel the God running tings.

7 signings so far, all massive hits.

Richarlison getting himself sent off at Bournemouth has had a major impact on the subsequent league games IMO.

Silva’s attacking options were limited enough before that but when suddenly it was Cenk we were primarily relying on our limitations up front were brutally exposed.

Shame Deeney's not still working with him.

His length of tenure will be determined entirely on form and league position on an ongoing basis, you know that as well as everyone else.

It's complete nonsense to suggest he will have carte blanche for the next 18 months.

Allardyce had us 8th with a far worse squad.
