Sad that you think a good season is around tenth. Even Allardyce managed better than that.
The season hasn`t finished yet, lets wait and see what happens before starting the Allardyce jizz fest ?

What if we won all our games. We'd be top and able to wrap up the title with four games to play!Posted this on r/everton but imagine if:
We held onto a draw at Newcastle on March 9, net points: 1.
We held onto a draw at Watford on February 9, net points: 1.
We held onto a draw at Southampton on January 19, net points: 1.
We held onto a draw against Leicester City on January 1, net points: 1 (we were never going to win that day with that garbage performance)
We held onto a draw at Brighton on December 29, net points: 1 (in reality . we shouldn't have lost but say we were able to draw)
We beat Watford on December 10 instead of drawing, net points: +2
We beat Newcastle on December 5 instead of drawing, net points: +2
TOTAL: +9 points.
Add +3 to +6 if we had actually won a few of the matches we should be winning.
Could be 49-55 points the table, comfortably 7th or seriously challenging for 5th or 6th.

I expect better than Allardyce could produce,at a minimum. Don't you?You expect everything to fall into place instantly
I think Moshiri and Brands have already fairly well set out our future strategy. It seems it is to scout and sign young players when their their price and wage demands are relatively low.
At the same time to grow the business side of the club to enhance our finances further.
Like all clubs nowadays we need to stay within the financial limits imposed by ,and increasingly enforced, by the footballing authorities.
It may be frustratingly slow but it will hopefully be a sustainable improvement of our position within the game.
Before all that can fully commence we urgently need to tackle our horrendously bloated wage bill.
Restoring our club to the elite position we once occupied will not be a quick fix, but nor should we expect it to be after 30 years in the mid-table wilderness.
Disheartening to have to resort to Allardyce, but with Digne,Zouma, Mina, Bernard,Gomes and Richarlison added I foolishly expected better. The season hasn`t finished yet, lets wait and see what happens before starting the Allardyce jizz fest ?

You rate Silva I don't, resorting to insults does you no credit.look I know it must bother you that foreverblue and harvey and others have been hogging the one-eyed negative drivel spotlight, but you are reaching a bit too much here today
We'll have to but it's not pleasant.Let`s wait and see.

I used to believe a manager needed 3 seasons before final judgement. But in the modern world and with the addition of a competent DoF , I agree 2 years is sufficient for a manager to prove his worth.I agree however even this season we spent near £90 million and you would imagine this summer if we keep Silva we'll likely spend around the £100 million mark factoring in outgoing sales.
Realistically at some point the deicison will be made to either:
a. Reduce the spending to a level seen more at clubs like Watford, Bournemouth and West Ham (outside this season) and be happy with floating around 8-11th as seen this season
Or
b. Keep spending this level of money and seriously challenge for the top 6/7 and cups.
If its B you would imagine Silva (and any future manager) will have at most 2 seasons to meet that target to justify the spend on players.
The three seasons thing is long gone, too much money in the game. You can end up either standing still, which means teams like Watford over take, or you go backwards.I used to believe a manager needed 3 seasons before final judgement. Greatest ever, though?Think Iwobi is underrated myself! Cech is past it of course but what a player he was.
We still are - Richarlison and Silva still left Watford for us
Koeman left Southampton for us
Bolasie left Palace for us
Siggurdsson and Williams left Swansea for us
If we were just another side outside the top 6 those above wouldn't have been clamouring to leave at the first start of interest.
A big problem for us is we accept mediocrity- Liverpool havent won the league in near 30 years but I bet not one person at that club is saying that to their players after a defeat "ah forget it lads we aint won it in 30 years doesnt matter".
If you dont have aspirations you'll never achieve anything.
Fans moan when the players stroll around and dont give a toss - maybe the fans need to take a look at themselves first as if they dont expect commitment and desire to achieve somerhing how do they expect a bunch of millionaires with no connection to the club to care?
