Marco Silva has warned his players there is nowhere to hide following a poor start to the 2019/20 season.

Marco Silva said: “It is not the moment for anyone to hide.

“I said it inside the dressing room, too [after the Sheffield United defeat] – there is nowhere we can hide, we have to show stronger character, personality.

“Unfortunately, in some moments, we didn’t see that. Now I don’t want anyone hiding, not me, not them. It is a moment for us to go and play football and to take responsibility as well.

“In the second half, I didn’t see that ability and in some moments many players were hiding and didn’t give solutions. I want everyone there – football is about playing and showing strong character. No one can hide.

“No one, I am always here for you, I am always here for our fans, I will not hide, no one can hide.”

Who is actually hiding Marco?

Typical any one bar himself is responsible for poor performances.

Is that a serious question? Sigurdsson has touched the ball a total of about 8 times in the opening 6 games. Our "captain" won't say boo to a goose and we're still playing Morgan Schneiderlin who pretty blatantly hides on the pitch and has done for the last two years.

Yes some players could show more but do you not think Marco is hiding as well?

I think its time to get David Moyes back saw him at the airport and he said he would return Kenwright must just give him a call. The recent managers have outlayed lots of cash on average player that dont have the commitment to the side. I was at Goodison the night we won the league and those guys would have died for the shirt they wore for most of these players its a very well paid job. Why cant we buy quality we have bought a few but with the money we have spent we should have a side that can compete in the top 6 at least

Once we find the person responsible for picking these players constantly he is in for it.

None of this is reflected in his demeanour or is specifically ventilated in his commentary to the media.

We should be 6-7 points better off. We haven’t been convincing in any game this season and it’s a massive anticlimax from the ending to last term. Had we obtained an experienced ‘ready to go’ front man I think, given formations etc, we would still be struggling.

He’s coming under pressure and the Sheff Wed game is now a massive for Marco.
