It would be a very surprising move having just given him a 3 year deal. I wonder what has changed? Other than a poor managerial choice.

Brands has never picked a manger and probably less than half the players.
Should have let him do his job. But if certain people , like the owner are going to interfere, then what’s the point of brands.

Maybe, Moshiri is listening to Rafael. While that’s not perfect, if it changes a number of things at the club, then surely that’s a good thing long term.

Should have let him do his job. But if certain people , like the owner are going to interfere, then what’s the point of brands.

I'm not sure to be honest. I said a fair few weeks ago, but I think Rafael will be given more powers. Brands ultimately did nothing in the summer and the squad was left short. Rafael is conducting reviews on backroom staff and finding weaknesses. Something which Bra Ds should have been doing. Then last week the youth sides were told to start playing in the same style as the 1st team, there's clearly a big lack of cohesion in the background.

What could Brands have done, with so little to spend though?

Well if Benitez was actually good at his job it might be. I'm sceptical of that.

Well it’s a bit early to judge to be fair. This squad has finished mid table for the last 3 years. Injuries to our best players and having little to spend, not sure what people our expecting.

All mangers will have their favourites, IE Rondon that the fans don’t like. Carlo playing a back 5 home to sheff Utd. It’s a big If, I just hope Rafael can shake things up
The academy and the board, by all accounts he likes to be involved across the whole club.

That’s not to say I wanted him to get the job, I’m just not sure what getting another manger on board now will ached, just means the shithouse players will get more time at the club

Our style is pass the ball to the left back and hoof a cross into the box from a very deep position, but usually to only a single attacker in the box.

It's been like that since Baines, but at least he was good at putting in dangerous deliveries.

I think the first team need to have a discernible style of play before we can implement anything lower down.
