Not saying he's been perfect but we've had one window of Brands with a good manager and it went well for the most part considering the COVID landscape.

The bold is absolute tosh though as we've had an academy transfer ban but still managed to promote Gordon and bring in Branthwaite & Nkounkou.

We need players who can contribute to the first 11. We haven't produced a goalscorer since Rooney. Obviously this isn't just Brands fault - this is a long term issue. But we need to prodice actual top players, not lads who are decent championship players.

If United can do it consistently then why can't we.

But again, how can you level youth development at him when he's not been able to sign anyone for the academy? Actually turning what we have into first team stars isn't his job.

Rooney was a one off; United haven't produced a Rooney.

Our U18's are a promising bunch and we've had none poached away like happens at City/United.

A man who has put together Delph, Iwobi, Gomes and Sigurdsson and allowed gem to stay at the club even when it’s clear to everyone they are horrible together needs serious questions asked. Either he doesn’t think there’s a problem in which case I really am worried and he can sling it or he realises there’s a problem but he can’t ship them out to replace them with more suited players which isn’t great either.

Letting Kean go and not replacing him looks bonkers as well.

He's better than we what we had, but the squad is still a work in progress. The fact Carlo doesn't have faith to put in his back ups for left wing and right wing suggests this will be the main area of focus.

I also think Andre gomes needs to be pushed down the pecking order. It seems like every time the dust settles it feels like we still need another 6 players in the next window.

It's not coming together for him, so I think the answer is somewhere in between.

The amount of utter stinkers this feller has signed for Everton is incredible. The fact he paid near £30M a pop for them is damning.

The way our depth is he’s going to have to. If he doesn’t spend it wisely then Mosh has an easy decision with his contract at the end of the season
