When somebody doesnt even know that Marc Overmars is the DoF at Ajax im not really gonna pay any attention to anything they have to say.

Brands spent 100m at PSV and recouped over 250m, they also won multiple league titles, I think he must have done something right.

Not convinced by Brands. His record at PSV was unconvincing as well according to the Dutch fan I know.

Three league titles and top 3 every year but one he was there. Plus a title at AZ.

Restoring that culture at PSV whilst signing young players to make a profit on when they really were regarded as the 3rd or 4th team in the league, when Ajax's finances dwarf everybody else's is no mean feat.

interestingly, PSV did nothing between 2010-2013, going through 3 managers

then won 4 titles between 2014-2018 with the same manager. the EPL equivalent is probably, say, qualifying for European comp. just because the EPL is vastly superior to Eredivisie

Its pretty much the same project he has here, which is to say they need to unearth gems, polish them and sell them at a profit to fund the next level up. The same way Ajax operate. Once you consistently get in the CL the rewards in a smaller league are even greater (compared to a richer league).

They’re certainly not the 4th team in the league, they’re a very comfortable 2nd on titles.

Bit much saying they need restoring too, they’d won 4 titles in a row up to 2008 so they were hardly in a trough.
