Any centre back we brought in was only going to be cover for Mina and Keane, which created a problem as they would have known that.

People forgetting we paid 30m for Mina, finding it a bit odd he’s deemed not good enough and needs replacing and is only good enough for back-up.

It's not about back up, it's about options. We've got the same 2 centre backs as we had last year, but last year we also had someone else who was consistently getting picked ahead of one of them. It's just weird to try and spin it as anything other than a backward step. Pretty much every other team in the league has got more than 2 senior centre halves, I'm not sure why we would find it more difficult to attract one than anyone else.

So its been a good window. We have a good manager, excellent director of football.

Where do you all think we will finish this season and how many points.

All the betting models, firms, analysts think we will stay the same about 8th about 54 points.

I think we will probably be a bit worse than that, they have underestimated how precarious our centre position is going to become.

The only slight negativity from me, is that if we go into the new season with only Kean added up top, then it will have been a bit of a bad window and all of this last minute frenzy a bit of a circus.

If Kean doesn’t hit the ground running then we are back to DCL and we haven't improved the side in the slightest at that point.

The squad will be a bit deeper due to Sidibe coming in and having Gbamin or Delph for Gana, but apart from that it will be very meh!

Announce Zaha this instance and make it better.

If this is the best they can come up with after all the big talk, then they have made themselves look a bit foolish.

We know Keane and Mina are first choice, but to go for 5th choice centre back from a club we should be aiming to overtake this season reeks of desperation and lack of planning.

Our strike force consists of a novice 19 year old starlet, DCL who can’t score and Tosun who the manager clearly doesn't want. Oh and Niasse who isn’t even a real footballer.

Also what is it with so many of you seemingly not being able to read? I was just responding to your made up post about why we couldn't possibly have attracted another centre half, not cry arsing or searching for negatives. I am fully aware that the window is closed and there's nothing I can do about our options at centre half. If you're allowed to say it's fine and we'll be grand then i'm allowed to disagree. It's pretty simple, no?
