My life is full of disappointing anecdotes similar to this.So Walsh isn't going, I get half an hour break and it gets left on that bombshell

All happened in his native Holland and within the Dutch football culture and industry he's used to.Former target of Chelsea.
Turned around PSV in recent years - signing and selling players like Depay, Mertens, Strootman and Wijnaldum.
In Bed with Maradona: The Kingdom of Marcel Brands: http://inbedwithmaradona.com/journal/2016/3/28/unity-is-strength-marcel-brands-and-psv
"PSV would hire Marcel Brands who had been working as a Director Of Football at AZ Alkmaar since 2005 and had an amazing reputation of earning millions at RKC Waalwijk and AZ Alkmaar as the teams performed above expectations while 'jumping through hoops' in the transfer market as a Dutch media outlet put it. Brands was tasked with tweaking a faulty transfer strategy, restoring faith in an underperforming academy while extending PSV's already far-reaching scouting network and finding some stability on the technical bench."

How easy would that success be achievable in a totally alien environment and a much bigger industry?
It looks like the same Moshiri answer to everything: buy the new flavour of the month and hope it works out.

I;d just hire a manger and tell him he;s getting paid a kings ransom to GTF on with coaching and signing players. The commercial side should be done by a new industry savvy CEO.Who would you go for Dave?

Not sure about this, if a DoF can stop us from having to change our style of football every time we lose/sack a manager. For example, would a good DoF have suggested hiring Koeman immediately after Martinez, or would they have suggested someone playing a similar style? A DoF would (hopefully) give us that consistency that managers no longer provide in the modern game.I;d just hire a manger and tell him he;s getting paid a kings ransom to GTF on with coaching and signing players. There is no room at a club like this for a DoF.
Moshiri is one dozy get.

I think we all know by now we have a back seat driver with Moshiri, so it wont make a bit of difference to have a DoF because no logical succession is ever being instigated by a strong DoF. The reason I suspect we wont get a very strong CEO is because it'd offer Moshiri the type of problems Trevor Birch handed to Kenwright. Not sure about this, if a DoF can stop us from having to change our style of football every time we lose/sack a manager. Exactly. Most top clubs in the world have a DoF, its the way of the future, it only hasnt worked here cos Walsh is a pussyole lil bish and doesnt say no to Managers.
You think Monchi lets managers pick players? Oh hell no.
Its the modern managers job to manage the players, pick the team, dont let Steve Walsh put you off the DoF route, the only TOP manager in world football that buys his own players is Jose, he spent 100m on Lukaku and 95m on Pogba and let Salah and KDB among others leave.
A top manager is Jose, an appalling talent spotter.
Exactly.
David doesn't identify us as a 'top' club mate, and perhaps justifiably so, but one could be forgiven for concluding that the limit of his ambition matches that of the board he purportedly hates based on his general musings around GOT.??????????
