Manchester United

Explain the coaches then that park on Warwick Rd, near the cricket ground that have Exeter Reds Bus 1, Bus 2 and Bus 3 in the windscreen… along with Tavistock Reds and others all from the south west.

And every Untied home game there are hundreds who fly into Manchester from Ireland and further afield… the trains from the airport that go through Piccadilly and Oxford Rd stations are jam-packed with glory hunting, tourist fans.
Never liked this argument tbh. Of course theres plenty glory hunters but it applied to us in the 80s as well. A lot of people from small towns with no big teams ending up supporting everton, myself included and there were several in my class at school who if I bump into now, still support us.

If we ever got half decent again we’d gain more supporters from overseas and different towns outside of liverpool and we should welcome it.

All the sympathy in the world for the people being made redundant as they will be hard working people and won’t be responsible for this mess unlike the much higher paid people who are.

Thing I can’t get my head round is how a football club can have 450 staff they then decide they don’t need? Like what do these people do that isn’t important to the overall functioning of the club?

Not saying people should be let go but how do you end up in a position where that number of people COULD be let go?

Maybe he's taken a leaf out of his good friend elon's book and has asked the staff what they have achieved in the last week. Top marks for andy madley.

They’ve literally done the 80’s business film plot and brought in the bulldog who’s going to be the public face of all the cost cutting and nastiness when really the strings are being pulled by the board. Sad thing is this anus of a man seems to enjoy it
He’s an egomaniac who’s having his face plastered all over the media every 5 minutes, of course he’s loving it.

There is no glory at United at the moment so i dont get your drift , you seem to know a lot about Old Trafford do you live nearby ?
I used to live just the other side of the railway and got sick to death of people from all over the country parking with care for the residents. And Warwick Road was always full of coaches from the south west, London, Essex and the Midlands.

Growing up down south supporting Everton took balls NEA. Everyone around me supported Liverpool, Arsenal, United or Chelsea (who I didn’t mind because most supported them before the money and despite the stereotype around their fanbase were the only ones to go the game). I don’t even remember anybody supporting any other “niche” team. Then I’m there at football training the only tit wearing a Kevin Campbell One 2 One shirt getting dogs abuse and laughed at. Rooney did actually change opinion a little bit around Euro 2004(?) until they sold him of course
