Manchester City's Sham Trial

What do we think then, has this whole "slap on the wrist" Chelsea saga been done so that City have another weapon in their Armoury.

It certainly gives them some kind of counter argument, that Chelsea got nothing but a "Loose change" fine. and a Suspended transfer ban.. a term that is just used to make it look a bit more serious, when it would never be triggered..

As always, something smells fishy..

How any Evertonian wants City to be punished I dont know.

The only beneficiary of that is Liverpool.

City are financially doped and so are Liverpool...and guess what, club's like Everton are if you're a small PL or Championship club.

City did what any club would with their financial backing.

They're innocent.

"Who's bad!?"

City are not innocent, they broke rules set out by the likes of the rs,man u ,Arsenal B Munich Real Madrid etc. Ffp was brought in by these clubs in 2011ish when they knew City were on the rise, and they didnt want hem to have a 'piece of their cake'. Me personally, hope City are not punished.

I’ve only just seen they got a £10m fine for admitting to more than £47m of secret payments.

They PL tried to deduct 17 points off us for being £35m over. Which cost us more than £10m in loss of earnings for finishing positions, so effectively a double whammy.

Absolute farce.

Everyone benefits Dave, everyone.

Never fails to make me smile when I see another team being put through the wringer. Will laugh my arse off if they get slammed, partly knowing that it might help us finish err, 6th instead of 7th

Biggest smiles will be on the faces of Liverpool fans.

That's the reason no Everton fan should want City done.

ALL football clubs at this level - and especially clubs like Liverpool, City, United, Arsenal and Chelsea - are financially doped.

When the authorities crack down on them all and make the PL a level playing field I'll join in any witch-hunt.

Maybe they are Dave, but if you believe they're doped to the level of Man City then I don't know what to say. They've had the biggest turnover of any PL club until recently, and even now they're only behind the RS on recent figures. They're just not that big Dave. 15 years of success is not enough to propel a club to that height of earnings. Just look at Chelsea, who have never had a turnover of £600 million, yet Citeh are raking in £800m + this year? My arse!

Look, either way, I'm not that arsed tbh mate. I'd find it amusing if they got slammed, and given our recent woes, I'd like to see the rules applied fairly. I'm not even sure the rules are fair, but allowing nation states to own clubs definitely means something needs to be done. We might as well all pack in now if the Saudi's get to spend freely out of their 1 trillion +.GDP

If they'd been allowed to spend what they want, then we wouldn't be having this conversation. However, whether you believe the rules are right or wrong, they're still the rules. The rules other clubs have been punished under, as we well know.
