Watched their game against Brighton. Very fluid and neat but still looked suspect on the counter. Shame we haven't got much pace to exploit their backline. Ederson has a howler in him as well.

Would love to see Lookman have a go at them because of this. Would be surprised if Koeman started him though.

Fear we're going to get a bumming here. You need to be tactically spot on, lucky, and have your keeper have a blinder to get a point or more away against teams as good at attacking as City.

I'd play 4-3-3 and try and hit them on the break. Lookman, Rooney and hopefully Sandro up top, pace with experience in the middle.

Don't do it mate, it only hurts more x
Nah, I don't get upset when it's away games like this, no one expects us to win. I feel we have fitness as an advantage at this stage and could cause a few shocks early season. Rooney will get the winner (if god loves me). 10-1 odds for just the win. If we lose no great shakes, still early doors yet.

This is a bit of a free go, I don't believe anyone thinks we can finish ahead of City, I think they will win the Premiership.
Very few teams will beat them away. A draw is a very good result.
I think teams who sit back against City get beat as they will eventually break you down. However, two banks of four with Sandro and Lookman charging forward on the break might be enough to get us a 1-1 draw.
I don't think I would play Rooney in this one, while his passing might be useful can he cover for 90 minutes.
If we get anything here it would be a nice bonus.

much more scared of united away to be honest, reckon we can put up a fight here. the physicality of players like gana, keane will do us well against these. not optimistic about a win but if we can knick a point it would be excellent.

City's squad is unbelievable absolutely world class in the attacking half . there subs bench is probably worth £300 million + .there's no excuses or hiding place for pep the premiership has to be the minimum this season for them

Ropey at the back when Kompany ain't there and a keeper who's always good for a mistake.

Getting in their faces is the only way.
