If we are comparing ourselves to Sunderland then we are screwed. He's underachieving. He's getting much worse. He has us defending like school boys. I have no hope in someone who is making the same errors over and over.

I can't see why we would want another season of this. And another season with the same system and same players.

The players have been like this for some time, so no guarantee a new manger will make everything better.

An interesting point, Sam complained about their inability to pass to another blue shirt. Silva is having similar problems under his tenure even after changing the style. Very concerning.

Stick with Silva:
Best case scenario, results improve, we finish 7th, we get a bit of stability the club desperately needs going in to the summer window.

Worst case, results don’t improve, we finish in the bottom half, Silva is sacked in the close season and another new manager is brought in.

Silva is sacked:
Best case, results improve, we finish 7th, we head in to summer with another new manager wanting to bring in his own players.

Worst case, results don’t improve, we finish bottom half, another new manager is sacked, or we have another transfer window with no funds available due to lack of trust in the manager.

I just don’t see that it makes sense to sack Silva, unless they have found a manager who is close to a sure thing to bring success and is interested in joining Everton, I’m not sure that manager exists.

Silva had 2 windows to bin these first team players. He didn't. He instead decided to back a chief protagonist in Gueye.

I wouldn't worry about what Sam said. If he'd spent more time on the training ground and less time in Marbella during the week.

The set play defending is terrifying me. How can he succeed in England when he's methods are being so exposed? I have no faith. The longer he's been here, the more disorganised and ragged we've become.

Brands has had two windows. Not Silva. He should definitely be doing better with the players he has got though.

Sam is a meff but that doesn’t automatically make him wrong about everything. I think he had a point when it came to poor individual decisions and sloppy passing.

The defending isn’t great but again, we need to see if he can change it. We’ve turned into a basket case of s club and making knee jerk decisions has contributed to that.

16 conceded from set play headers.

That can't continue. He's had 7 months now to organise something that should take a couple of weeks. It doesn't bode well. It's not knee jerk to be concerned by that. It would be insane not to be.

I can’t argue with the set pieces.

Martinez failed partly because he was too stubborn to adapt. Let’s see if Silva can be more pragmatic in rectifying his shortcomings...

Very true. We’ve seen promising glimpses though (pre-derby meltdown) so let’s see if he can iron things out.
What glimpses mate ? He was never my choice as manager to be honest, hull getting relegated getting sacked at Watford I couldn't see the attraction, and all I'm seeing now is the same repeat mistakes.

Today put me over the edge his teams don't do the basics and look clueless going forward, he has to go. And a root and branch review is needed because the last two seasons have been utterly disastrous, the players downing tools half way through each season.
