Pienaar let the team down badly today. Make no mistake. In the past few weeks i've sung his praises as much as anyone but what the hell he was thinking today i'll never know.

Maybe it was tiredness? - god knows but one thing it definitely was was idiotic.

Howard and the back four played extremely well today.

Pienaar's got to feel gutted about what happened but in the greater scheme of things, it's not like we threw away three points, just one. TV announcer said fouls like that happen because of tired legs and being out of position or getting beat. I'm sure Pienaar will bounce back from it though.

Not a bad showing either with Arteta and Ossie out.

Someone brought this up earlier and it was a good point. Our passing under pressure was not very good. Neither was our buildup play. It was all pretty much counterattack football from us. Gotta take what they give you.

All in all, you hate losing a point but against ManU at their place, not the end of the world.

Midfield? they bypassed our midfield completely...counter attack ? little point countering if your midfield is all at sea, with poor passing, and your strikers dally in front of goal.

When you go to places like this, you need to take the chances, not rue what you never tried.

Regardless the defending was very good, but overall i suppose we cant complain too much after all they are the current champions, but to be perfectly honest we need to keep the pressure on the 2 teams above us, and this loss could determine if we are capable of coming back and continuing...old trafford is a **** of place to go, but loosing under the stupid actions of 1 person stings like hell.
 
yes peinaar was stupid , but in his defence it was his first lapse in concentration in the match. until that point he played very well and set up the goal for cahill.

i dont think pienaar will make a habit of losing us 3 points.

he also played a huge part in our unbeaten run.


sign him as soon as possible i still say.
 
Ok...calmed down abit, so...a great defensive performance, Yobo the MoM for me. The best plaeyrs on the pitch i thought were yobo, cahill and carsley. The worst Yakubu (lazy - did nothing - especially in the second half) and Pienaar - even though he played well, he lost the game.

Moyes shouldnt be too angry at this, we came to Man Utd and tested them. Man Utd had their full team out, rooney, ronaldo, giggs etc..., we were missing osman, arteta and baines. So a lost by one goal isnt that bad...I think pienaar should have his wages taken away for a week though...

I have no time to listen to the [Poor language removed] going round about how rubbish we were, Moyes negativity, "I wouldn't sign Pienaar in a million years" - just stop embarrassing yourself, superb defensive performance with a patchwork midfield against a team who have only conceded 2 league goals this season, and only drew with Reading 0-0. We have faced them when they are in their best form at the most difficult period with our best creative midfielders not playing.
We deserved better. I just hope we rustle up a cracking atmosphere at Goodison for the Bolton game to welcome them home after 4 sucessive away games, time to put this one behind us, would've been nice to keep the run going but what can you say? We gave United the hardest game they'll have all season.

Am not angry at moyes, or the team they played very well under the conditions they where in after so many great games we played...ofc its hard at that place...its not negativity I think we will pick ourselves up, but he had better learn from his mistake, because no one will put up with that.

Overall a very fighting positive atitude today, but it still stings :p
 
we may have lost , but hey , its not that bad.

atlleast our team isnt a bunch of sex pests , granny shaggers and rapists.

We were outclassed today but kept our heads up. We're not top 4 material, but we gave them a good game. Still 6th and I think if we finish here this season it would be a great achievement.

Pienaar needs to be signed, a moment of madness doesn't detract from his usefulness, he's a good player for us and this was his first mistake.

I'm going to get some coffee, got up at 5:30 to watch. Never expected anything out of this game and I'm not that disappointed.

Oh well, looking forward to Notlob now. Feel sorry for them, they are going to be on the receiving end of a backlash.
 
I couldn't believe what I have seen? Giggs was a diver? It was proven he was bloody looking for it, i feel sorry for Pienaar the referee see nothing wrong with it, but the lines man though he saw something, how much money did the lines man get for making that decision?

Pienaar move his legs away in a reverse turn and god damn it if he wasn't 100% sure don't bloody pretend he saw it, great acting Giggs!

Any way it wasn't a bad performance consider Arteta couldn't play due to a bug, we actual played a slightly weaken team compare to the home match!

Let's get ourselve back ontrack, bring on Bolton!
 
and I think around 3 or 4 nil with another yak hattrick.

I have one concern though about Cahill, he was subd because an hip injury, I hope to god he isnt injured and him and arteta are going to be back for the next match.

He trailed his leg out of turning and and gave him a kick clearly, dive or not, it was the result that mattered when the pen was rewarded. But lets do noblot next and then do arsenal after that and get another great running going. I think Utd where probably going to be the only team we lost to anyway, we where up against too much class.

Another thing I didn't like was right at the end, there was clearly a gap for AJ to run on to the ball, yet we pass the ball to the side for crossing, they were clearly short on number then, and AJ might get a PK if we at least try to go for that one!

Well, guess we just have to do Man U a big favour by beating Arsenal, that's not what I hope for I wanted a win on both of them, but first Bolton you better be prepare we going to absolutely take it out on you guy!
