Ta Neville.

My view, we played really well, some good passing football and we kept out heads. A clear improvement from when we used to [Poor language removed] ourselves against United. With some more luck or available strikers we could have got something from it.

The only negative was that we didnt create enough chances and the play broke down in the final third lots. But, after all, we were playing arguably the best side in the world at their own gaff so theres no shame in that.

Tell you what though, if we keep on progressing were going to be a hell of a side. Possibly.

Im not sure if its been touched upon, but what do you think was happening with Joey and Moyes, from what i saw it looked like he was going to come on, Moyes asked him something and Joey seemed to say no. Maybe Moyes said "Do you think now is the time to put on another defender Joseph?". :D

I wondered that, it looked like Moyesy went 'fair enough', but deep down he was crushed.

we looked very very tired fellaini went missing and cahill was off his game... ossie wasnt up for it ... this could be because man u played well or i might just be a bit harsh....

also on another note does anything think arteta is playing a little too deep hes great is setting off the counter attack but doesnt really join the attack offen enough for me when nev will get foward (n)

The fact that Cahill and big Mo went missing is perhaps not that surprising considering they were still 'major doubts' up until a few hours before ko.
A creditable performance and we can walk away from this match with our heads held high.

I quite like the idea that the both Man U and our supporters were in unison re Rabid Rafael. :D

With Hibbo being MoM I hope the wally who sits behind me who keeps shouting 'Hibbert, you're effing [Poor language removed]' will actually keep his own gob effing shut for a few games at least. According to him, V Persie's goal was ALL Hibbo's fault......
plonker.

Agree with your words mate utd did keep us on the run and we did well to keep them out.but we were giving a lot away.

Quite proud of the boys after that.

Think Moyes was right about the 3 penalty appeals, all were a bit iffy and could have been given (or not) on any other day.

On a lighter note, I got into a pushing and shoving handbags fest with some idiot united fan after he called Arteta a 'stupid fecking egyptian ****'.:unsure:

I was laughing too much to get properly angry.

Oh and if Upson gets picked ahead of Jags I will hunt down Cappello and eat his face.

We didnt play really well. We looked tired and hardly troubled the goalie all game but we did restrict United which they have to be applauded for

We looked tired and out of ideas in the final third other than when Baines overlapped.

Osman and Pienarr at the moment are just not good enough to do well against decent teams when they have to create chances. Man U dealt with them too easy.

Only time we troubled them was when Baines got forward.

But we defended well, passed the ball about ok and didn't roll over.

A defeat always sucks but i'm not too bothered about this one.

Jags is as good as in the squad or Cappello should resign immediately .

There was quite a few Mancs who werent shy in putting their opinions about scousers public yesterday . Absolute hate fuelled p****s .

I thought it was a really [Poor language removed], boring game. United seemed to sit back and not really push on, and we just didn't have any ideas.

It's good that we didn't concede in open play, though.

Your missing the point mate . Utd didnt push on simply because we didnt let them . I would be suprised if you asked theri players had they come across a harder working team to come to OT other than Everton and they say no . Look how many men we had behind the ball in midfield everytime they attacked . Our team structure is the best I HAVE EVER SEEN IT. Teams struggle like **** to break it down ....in short Moyes deserves major credit for constructing it and likewise the players.

These idiots who claim Moyes is tactically lacking havent got a clue about football fullstop . Maybe two years ago yes he did make some bad decisions but not now , he is past that and has moved on to another level .
His face and reaction to the defeat yesterday spoke volumes to me . He knows we were very unlucky and if it wasnt for a dodgy penalty we would have sauntered away from there laughing . All of this with a team that is missing some of its best match winning players and players carrying knocks having come in straight from three undefeated gruelling games with the socalled top four sides .

Trust me we are not far away from gaining our rightful place back amongst these f*****s ........its not far away . Yesterday was a milestone
