Manu performed with a kind of wimpy play we almost did visiting OT during Moyes. This game was like seeing former Manu in the blue shirts and former EFC in red. A deja vu, but the opposite like.

Man it cant have felt good for Moyes to hear your lot sing you getting sacked in the morning.....yeah he left you. But he gave you 10 years. I dont understand why you guys dislike him so much

As a manager Roberto has shades of Kendall's fearlessness going in to every match. Whereas with Moyes he took over when the club was at a very low ebb and for a period a more humble ethos was required. Unfortunately this negativity went on for far too long and held us back from the clubs natural level.

...he left on good terms and was given a fantastic send off, but revelations and comments since have been very demeaning and he's undone a lot of good feelings. Saying that, we will always appreciate the job he did here.

I also think it's become evident with Martinez's appointment that even while he was here Moyes actually held the club back.

i really like Martinez. But I was reading this forum earlier the season and people were having serious go at him. Yes you guys are in great form. But lets see how well he does in 2-3 seasons. His strength can become a weakness when things are not going well and fans will ask for more pragmatic approach. having said that I never liked Moyes ever since he gave uncle Wenger some mouth(n)

...only time will tell, but I think I would prefer to say he may have taken us as far as he could. RM is certainly putting his own stamp on the team and there is a real positivity in us all but I suppose the real proof will be where we finish in the next few seasons. Lets just enjoy the moment for now and leave United to sort themselves out.

Your right mate

Everyone stop being happy until he's been here for 3 seasons

Looking at these two games (united and arsenal) I would have been happy enough with 2 points, so to already have 3 is brilliant. A loss at the emirates isn't that bad now as long as they get it together in the next few easier games.

Exactly, he took us as far as he could. IMHO he doesn't have the mentality to manage a big club and is more cut out for stabilising clubs around upper mid-table. He'd make a good Sunderland or Villa manager. But he doesn;t have the balls to go that bit further. At the moment it looks like Martinez does. But as you say, the proof will be where we finish.
