Gerard shouldn't start this, bring him in with half hour to go, more chance to run at tired defenders and less time for him to make a costly mistake.

It's worth mentioning that Osman has been a big part of the team that has got such a great record against Man City. He also scored the decisive goal in March.

And may it also be noted that Heitinga is balls and lacks any lacks an sort of skills to make him a centre mid by getting bypassed like he's not there. Osman takes way too much crap on this forum. He battles as well as he can, wins headers he should never win and is part of a lot of nice tight passing we play. But haters gonna hate.

Adding a vid.

Lovely stuff

I'd always choose the Pumps

Just had a look on the bluemoon forum. Unbelievable how many often terms like 'punching above their weight' was used in reference to us. We have a very good team and squad and could very easily have picked up more points than we already have.

I think it'll be a great game but honestly think we'll have enough to beat them.

I've read a couple of pages on the pre match thread and most of them are worried about this game, surprisingly due to our 'quality' and not Moyes' in their face tactics. They are mainly worried about Lukaku, Barkley, Coleman and Mirallas

Now that was some classic vinyl, azul. [Poor language removed], Sirius/XM...

I smell a draw, but I'll be sporting the #6 and the missus will be honking her bassoon.

Get into that high priced spread, Everton - COYB. Confound those "footy experts".

With our boss new front end, you never know.

comparing the teams who will play on saturday:

Joe Hart < Tim Howard
Zabaleta < Seamus Coleman
Vincent Kompany > Phil Jagielka
Matija Nastasic < Sylvain Distin
Kolarov < Leighton Baines
Jesus Navas < Kevin Mirallas
Yaya Touré > Leon Osman
Fernandinho > Darren Gibson
Silva > Stephen Naismith
Aguero < Ross Barkley
Negredo < Romelo Lukaku

they will have 4 of the best players, we will have 7 of the best players. We win.

Aguero & Negredo are better than Barkley & Lukaku

Tremendous write up as always Senor Azul.

I'm thinking this'll be a score draw, they score first and we pick them off in the 2nd half

Some interesting lines converging in this game. Last year under lights in a Cup game we got pantsed. Next game at home? : Man City.

This year...Man City is mullered in a Cup game under lights at home. Next home game?: Everton

And to add to the intrigue, the gentleman who plotted both City's and EFC's FA Cup demise at the hands of a totally different team is involved again!!!

Awesome script!!

....and this from the Man City blog:

Ducado wrote:Big game against one our bogey teams and after that disaster we better pull our collective socks up, or the pressure will really begin to mount

They are unbeaten up to now, and Martinez has got them playing some good football

All thoughts and discussion in here please

12:45 KO by the way

Just what we bloody need, bleeding Everton

I do not want to sound a doomsayer, but as per my above post, we bounced back from the Wigan defeat to beat Citeh 2-0. I have a feeling that will be their winning score against us. The loss of Barry and the 50/50 with Darren (I have glass legs) Gibson, and Mirallis suggests our unbeaten run is very tenuous.

Come on blues, can smash these. If Cardiff and Villa can beat them...

I want us to sneak an early goal then defend resolutely and then sucker punch them in final five with a second.

Tbh though a draw would be a decent result.
