Flights already silly prices for a flipping friendly if flying to Malaga.

Ive been told flying Murcia, Alicante or Madrid is an hour away on train.

Thought about it, realised I've already got that weekend off work, then I realised that my passport has expired, so gutted

More than that, mate. Madrid is about two and a half hours on the high speed train. Flights are usually cheaper into Madrid but then you have to spend about £100 or more on a return train ticket. Bus journeys are much cheaper but take a while. Think it's about 7-8 hrs from Madrid to Malaga.

Do Ryanair still fly to Jerez? That's not far away.

For anyone looking to stay somewhere cheap, hostals are the way to go in Spain. They are not hostels but family run hotels which might have few amenities but are always spotless and cheap. Expect to pay about £32 a night for a single room or £45-50 for a double.

Take a look on www.hostelbookers.com

Or alternatively, I can heartily recommend the Picasso's Corner Hostel. Very cheap, friendly and clean.

Doubt it will be, Sharpy. It's not a game that'll be shunted around at the behest of the Spanish TV channels, I wouldn't have thought. That said, does anyone actually know the usual kick-off times for friendlies in Andalusía in August??

Thoroughly looking forward to this game. I can still remember the momentary excitement I felt three years ago when I heard we were playing Málaga before I realised that I'd be in Spain and Málaga would be playing at Goodison!

Last season's Costa del Sol Trophy game kicked off at 9.30pm spanish time,8.30 uk time, very nice trophy as well, and it was broadcast on fox sports spanish channel,no doubt that and others will have it live when its sorted for tv.

I always wondered where Andalusia was.
