Think the original thread title 'decent player in the Everton mould' says it all. Many might argue with the description 'decent' but where we are going as a club and the aspirations we have, we need more than 'decent' players like Maguire at the heart of our defence.

I reckon he might be alright - can head - can pass and is even decent moving with the ball. I haven't watched him too much mind you.
