So does every CL club in Europe. When United are snapping up Keane who is the equivalent of Jagielka when we got him you can see how shallow the CB pool is. Liverpool extending Lovren shows what a paucity there is. Maguire is decent, better than Williams and Jags but we need better if we can get it.

I don't rate him. He is too slow and clumsy. He reminds me of all those bottom half quality CB.

If we want CL we got to sign better players. It's this step up that we need.

It's a shame that we were so mismanaged for 2 years with people like McGeady and Cleverly brought in that took us back faster than the Delorean
