Magic Derby moments

Am I the only one old enough to recall 1967 and Bally's winner in the fifth round? The biggest crowd I ever experienced at Goodison and the loudest noise I ever heard there when the ball went in (and I was there the night we beat Bayern)
Remember just before the goal when the ball was lobbed at their goal and was dropping in when the cheating b****jumped up and pull the bar dowm and the ball bounced off the top of it and out and the "whats are name"chant rattling round the ground(y)

I watched it at Analfield, had my leg in plaster(y)

Where's King's Drive?
In the back of Clemence's net

A bright spark in a dark age
I was waiting for a train in Birkenhead on the way to that match. I was 13 at the time and a couple of 20 something gobshites approached me and my mate and the following conversation ensued:

'Sell us yer tickets lads?'
'Nah'
'Youse'll only come back cryin', ha ha.'
'That's what you think'

To be honest I wasn't as confident as they were but I'd have given anything to see them on the way back.

Fair few others since then but that was the first time I'd seen us beat them
(first win in seven years, I didn't remember the earlier ones)

Whats the best you can remember? This will sort the oldies out!

Carsley's derby in recent years does it for me.

Super Kev, me (8 at the time) and my sister (12) were in the house by ourselves because my dad was in hospital, we went mental, then got told of for ringing the hospital, me dad went nuts in celebration haha

Sheedy flicks the V's at the Kop:

and the best goal ever:

And Dave Watson's winner in the replay after the 4-4 cup draw in '91 after I'd spent the 4-4 at my redshoite friend's house with his whole redshoite family - mum, dad, sister, sister's boyfriend, gran and grandad and 2 other redshoite friends and been battered 4 times by the lot of them. That one was particualrly satisfying.

A good one was after our 3-0 drubbing of them when the camera switches to the crowd and that little kid jumping up and down with a massive grin on his face. Behind him sat a really morose RS supporter looking like his world had ended. I laughed my head off at that, and still chuckle at it even now. Classic moment.

BTW, does anyone have a link to a particular video posted of the match which shows all the goals and more, including the scene mentioned above? It wasn't the Perfect Day one, but had a different soundtrack. It was a cracking video. It was on youtube.

It has to be the Carsley derby for me. the game is a bit of blur to me cos i had a few to many warm Changs but i can just remember goin off me tits when the ball hit the net.

Ended up in Sam Dodds outside the shites ground after it and wound the bastards up for hours. They [Poor language removed] hated us and eventually we escorted out by the police. :P

Hopefully this game on Sunday will become my favourite

Come on the Toffee men

This is a pretty good video. Its a bit blurry but it has all the great clips!

[Poor language removed] that video, makes me even more excited for this game, WE GONNA PUMP THEM 3-0 COYB!!!!!!!

I was in the Anny Rd for Sharpy's goal, still gets the hairs on the back of my neck that one.
Celebrating on the Kop when Lineker and Ratcliffe scored, unforgettable.

Welcome :)

Best derby moment for me was AJs second to make it 3-0.

That goal was special, plus it won me a few bob coz I had us down to win 3-0 (I'm sure I was drunk when I made that bet) but I was on a high, I'd passed my driving test that week and then we battered them 3-0, it was [Poor language removed] immense, I was on a high for a long, long time after that.

Worst memory was at Goodison this season, we were [Poor language removed] robbed, I'm still so pissed off here right now.
