The football was dirge he was sacked - hence not another United reject please go back to your tent!
If he was in the hot list why was he not appointed from day one?

Joey and the Technicolour Urine, he was sacked because Mourinho was available. That's why they sacked him just after winning a trophy, something we haven't managed since 95.

He was also essentially retired , so we may only just have been made aware of his availability and his willingness to join. He's still only a backup to the main target. The biggest relief is Unnnnsy is now a long way down.

Time for a little rest mein frandel

Bye Unsworth...

Wouldn't be against LVG getting the gig. He's got an impressive CV to back it up. And to those who say he had ManUre playing turgid football - it's a complaint that has been levelled at Maureen too. Certainly more impressive than the likes of Allardyce and Pulis.

Compared to those two.... undoubtedly!

Of course he’s got a good win percentage and an impressive CV, he’s only managed the biggest and best clubs in the league that they compete in.

His actual success comes 10+ years ago.

His style of football does not translate to the modern era.

He’s never managed a club that are in the position that we are in or with players as incapable as ours.

He’s beyond retirement age with zero motivation to succeed.

It would be an utter, utter disaster. Up there with Fulham appointing Felix Magath, only that actually made more sense than this.
