Always felt there was a good chance of him making it from seeing him in a friendly a couple of years back under our EX.

He's started well today for the U21s on SS1.

Just watching half an hour of this U21 game (whilst I wait for Corrie!) and you can't half tell Garbutt has been hanging around with Coleman and Baines, really not afraid to get forward and get at the defenders. Obviously way to early to tell but hopefully another reason to be excited about our young guns and the future.

He must be one Martinez is planning on having a good look at in pre-season. Well covered at Left back with Baines, Oviedo and Garbutt so that's one area of the team that doesn't need strengthening.

Maybe we could even see Baines in central midfield at times next season that Martinez hinted at? Would allow Oviedo and Garbutt to get more game time.

He takes a fantastic corner too. Would be great to see some boss corners at Goodison again!
