Lukakus successor

If he's going to Chelsea, Everton should try to include Batshuayi in the deal. He can't play as a one man attack like Rom, but he'll score plenty of goals and can be a delight to watch. Bit of a nutter, from the way he plays, but he will score some unlikely goals. He's wasting away at Chelsea at the moment.

Didnt realise he was on a free although I had heard the rumours about his wage denands etc. He is in the same age group as DCL, Lookman etc so he'll know plenty of players here from the England set up.

Solanke's a strange one though. He was top dog coming up through the ranks at both Chelsea and England, but seems to have hit a brick wall over the last year. He's now been overtaken by Tammy Abraham at both club and International level. There has to be a question mark over his attutude. Theres no doubt the talent is there but we've seen lots of talented players go by the wayside.

Would he join us?. He won't get more opportunity at a bigger club than us so he'd be daft not to. Would it be a risk?. Probably but not a huge one as we'd only have to pay a development fee, but I can see his wage demands being an issue. Overall, I'm not sure if his character makes him an Everton type player if that makes sense. I may be misjudging the lad as I don't know him, but Walsh normally goes after players with a certain character, a degree of humility and a willingness to work and be part of a team. I look at Solanke and see an individual.

Daily mail released an apology a few weeks ago confirming there story about him wanting 50k a week was false.

Also abraham has only really taken over as he has managed to get that loan deal to bristol city. Solonke hasent been given that platform as i think he was rewuired to stick around as 3rd choice striker

Go all out and get belotti before one of the elite teams do! He's ideal as a replacement but would mean spending most if not all the lukaku money on him.

Other alternatives bakambu Villarreal and one other maybe. Tough ask replacing lukaku. we also don't really have an idea how we play without him in the side with him being injury free

Is this Icardi any good? I must admit I don't know much about him. And would he see coming to Everton as a good move from Inter? Obviously money talks.

67 goals in 117 games
Just turned 24
He knows out to finish especially from anywhere in the penalty box
Would cost to much
Hopefully Walsh can find us a gem

Cheers mate.
Good ratio of goals per game. And not easy in Serie A. One to consider but, as you say, could be pricey.

it's more than just finding someone who has a good goal scoring record in another league, many have come to this league and failed after excelling in other countries.

The person needs to have the right mentality and realise they'll get booted for 90mins and not to shy away. Costa is the mould we should be aiming for

Does pretty much jack all game but always scores in the box.

He got the knack of being in the right place at the right time in the box.

Tbf Costa has a good record in other leagues. It's better if you can find players who have a good scoring record.

Yeah. Somebody else pointed that out since I made my post. Also take your point re Abraham. Getting game time is so important to them at this stage in their development.

As I said in my post, I may be misjudging him as I don't know the lad. More than happy to be proved wrong if we get him for a development fee in the summer and he turns out to be boss:)
