Actually, no.

Torres decline was due to numerous injuries and liverpool destroying him phsycially. Which is why for Spain he was terrible as well after euro 2008.

Like lukaku, torres was groomed to be something he is not. However, unlike lukaku, torres changed his game quite a bit and did a decent job at it.

cant stand comparisons to drogba, think alot of people don't realize that it wasnt till drogba turned 24 that he actually had his first good season it took him a long time to become the player chelsea eventually had.

Lukaku has been consistently scoring and contributing to a team since he was 17, if you compare him to drogba as people like to do (despite them being complete opposite players) lukaku is a long way ahead of drogba at the same age. All we can hope is he pushes on and develops like drogba did in his mid to late 20s and becomes a much more complete player.

Thing with lukaku is that the team needs to play for lukaku in order to succeed.

Similar to how chelsea fed juan mata those brilliant stats and completely changed after jose came in and changed the whole dynamics of the team.

Costa doesnt really have good technique as well, but costa, unlike lukaku has immense work rate and drive... Lukaku for his age,want things handed on a plate to him, which is his problem. Martinez wont feed lukaku like that for the sake of lukaku, because he will do his best for everton.
