I remember the back page of one of the tabloids after Cottees debut reading 'What a lottee Cottee gottee'. There's some useless crap in my head. oh, and Lukaku is a great signing!

1988 lid. Followed it up with a winner away to Coventry the week later where Southall played ace.

Clue me up on Cottee here la, he's scored 99 goals for us and he's seen as a proper let down from what i've noticed, there's 8 people in the history of this club that can point to a better return than that.

What's the beef la, WHY?!

A couple of things motherf*cker. He was part of a waning team and was with us right throughout our fail from grace from being challengers to relegation material. He also carried our record signing label for a long period of that, 2.2m was a lot of money in 1988 for a toggerer.

He had the likes of Sharp playing with him for that period so was never going to go above in affections of most blues. A lot of blues gave him a label of being selfish and playing for himself and not the team, Sharp said it in his book I think about Cottee being pleased if he scored but Everton lost I think.

Also had a crap side part.
