Lets see what he says,I wonder if he "gets" Everton?,he's made a few murmurs but nothing to make us believe he's got his heart set on joining us,I personally think there may be better options for the type of money we'll be looking at spending in the summer anyhow.

I want us to sign Bony.

In fact, get rid of Kone to whichever fool is soft enough to give us 3m or so, and spend 25-30m on Bony and Lukaku.

Blow the whole transfer budget on those two, summer sorted.

Is he really worth £20m to Everton's squad?
He's good and all, but, £20m? That could go to so much more

In 2-3 years time, mate. He'll be more than worth it, and in the mean time he'll at least good enough to bag ~15 league which isn't a bad return at all.

Could not care less, would not worry myself about this story,as in the same way i would not get to excited about it if it was a story about us signing him-i will wait till something is actually Done-it was bound to happen this type of story,do well at us then be linked with everyone including spurs which to be fair its rare that a player does not get linked to spurs.

Now that Benteke is out for 8 months Lukaku will be leading the line for Belgium in the world cup and will no doubt be slotting for fun. Even if we get champion's league I doubt we'll be able to seal a deal for Rom as huge teams surely will be coming in for him after the wc.

Biggest concern with Benteke getting injured is the fact it's reduced the market out their by 1 for a forward whose young and proven in the league, means Lukaku's price will rise, seriously need to get this deal done prior to the world cup starting, by far the most important transfer decision since the one which saw rooney leaving imo, need to get this one right

What makes you say that Brennan, any indication whatsoever he isn't actually very happy here like?

Being happy at a club doesn't mean you want to commit the next two or three years of your life to them. He was loving life at West Brom last season, can't see him signing for them.

If we don't get in the Champions League qualifier we've no chance and even if we do there will still be other clubs after him imo, can't see him signing a deal until after the World Cup either, his agent would be mad to let him do so prior to all that exposure.

So have spurs got a chance on him then mate?

The reason he's not at Chelsea is because he wants to be starting every week, so he's not going to go to a giant club. Arsenal might come in and tell him that he'll share the forward duties with Giroud. They have the money and I believe they enquired about him at the start of the season. I know that Chelsea sold Mata to United (perhaps they were the only team willing to pay the asking price), but would Mourinho want to strengthen his rivals again, especially in London?

Martinez has said that he's kept a large pot in reserve. From what he was saying last week the tv money has been earmarked for improving Finch Farm, so he must feel like he's got enough to spend in the summer. If not, I'm sure he could divert some funds into the kitty and delay the building project. So, I don't think that finances will be too much of an issue.

It would seem like whoever finishes fourth could tempt Romelu to sign for them.
