...and Thierry Henry, Bergkamp, Viera, Ljungberg...

I mean, I don't like them at all, but to say that's all of their legends is a bit... silly, surely?

Spot on about the fanbase though/failures though.

Yea as I said it's completely irrational but that's how I roll. Thierry Henry is like my favourite non everton player ever too.

Just really dislike them and everything about them now.

What I don't get is, if this guy is a Walsh target, and apparently he is as they're are news articles dating back to when he was still at Leicester linking Perez with them, he'd have known his release clause is €20m which is what Ornstein is saying how Arsenal have beaten us to the deal.

So why would we have gone in with €17m and not €20m?!

we didn't. we met his release clause...

Only thing I'm disappointed about is the fact we were close to signing a striker and because of arsenal it has fell through.

Not arsed about the player, just would have been nice to sign someone

Plus, Walsh could have finalised the deal last week but delayed negotiations which gave Arsenal the chance to swoop in this week.

Didn't take long for Walsh to learn the Everton way.

The article contradicts itself as they've just copied and pasted Law's earlier article from earlier, stuck it in the bottom and added a fresh six pars on top.

Oumar Niasse likes this...

Nah, Perez looks decent. But in all fairness, back up at Everton, or back up at Arsenal?
There isn't any guarantee he will be any good anyway.

Personally I just like getting new attacking players. Even niasse was a joy to look forward to considering it was clear how bad he was. Not bothered if it's lukaku niasse or the straq, just great seeing attackers.

Arsenal have made a bad signing in my opinion. They don't play to the style of this lad, and they have plenty of pacey players so bit of a curious thing that they want a player like him

As others have said - not too arsed about losing out on the player, just a bit miffed at the circumstances. Makes us look a bit small time truth be told.

Graham Hunter was on the radio saying that Barcelona were in for Lucas earlier in the summer but the deal didn't work out.

Also this:

Arsenal’s move for Lucas is a major blow to Everton, for whom Walsh could have secured the signing last week but a delay in negotiations allowed the Gunners to change their minds.

Weak from us that
