I didn't mean automatic starter, I meant automatic selection. Just feels like his place in the squad is never really under threat considering the wealth of talent the French have..

Essentially states that the reason we're not seeing Digne be as effective this season creatively as we have in the past is partly down to the more pragmatic system that Benitez is employing

This bit jumped out at me
