God knows what goes on in his head sometimes. That pass to Holgate in the lead up to them hitting the post was crazy. Holgate, just come on playing out of position - oh here you go a nothing pass with a Spurs player up your arse. Use your brain man.

Thought he looked a lot more like his old self today, personally. He is pathetically slow for a top level footballer however!

Anyone else kinda surprised (and possibly even a bit miffed) that he still seems to be an automatic selection for France? where's the motivation for him to get out of his slump in club form?

Interesting article in The Athletic on Digne

Essentially states that the reason we're not seeing Digne be as effective this season creatively as we have in the past is partly down to the more pragmatic system that Benitez is employing

This bit jumped out at me

"Those closest to Digne point to the mitigating factors of Rodriguez’s sale and Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury issues. Last season, the quintessential Everton goal involved a quick switch of play from Rodriguez to Digne before main striker Calvert-Lewin converted the Frenchman’s delivery into the box. Removing two key parts of the chain and altering tactics has had a key impact on his fortunes. Equally, he has also had to contend with the disappointment of being taken off set pieces, something figures close to the squad have questioned in private."
