2021/22 Lucas Digne

Not sure what's happened to him but he's not the same player we bought. Not just under Benitez. No assists, no goals and hits the first man on most crosses now. I think he's gone backwards more than any other player in the same timeframe.

It must be an Everton thing. Godfrey is next it seems too

Looks like he hates every single waking moment that he spends as an Everton player. His form has been terrible for a while now and if we were a club that employed any kind of strategy at all, we'd have been blooding Nkounkou as much as we possibly could last season in the hopes that we could sell Digne for a profit and replace him with someone who effectively cost a bag of crisps which would have done wonders for our FFP problem.

But no. Nkounkou gets hardly any game time at all, and is therefore deemed not ready for Premier League football and loaned out to Belgium of all places whilst Lucas Digne stinks the house out week after week with absolutely no concerns at all as he knows that he's playing the next game.

Lets all moan that one of the best attacking fullbacks in the league is being told to not go forward and blame it on the player.

Imagine Reece James or Alexander-arnold being told to stay back.

You people get what you deserve.
He’s [Poor language removed] going forward but ok

Need to try and coax £20mil for him.

Just signed a long term deal and then Benitez is hired and tells him not to attack any more.

Digne has been average to poor long before Benitez arrived. In fact he was last outright decent for a month or so at the start of Ancelotti's first season; he's been off the boil for well over 12 months now.
To list the problems at Everton hes not even close to half way .

I don't think he's nearly as bad as people make out. But it isn't like he is elevating the team with his play like you'd expect of your supposedly better players.
