Regarding him being a bit sluggish tracking back. It often happens after a long injury you get through the first couple of games on extra adrenaline then hit a wall for a few (4-5) before getting proper match fitness back.

I think Carlo bottled it: Mahrez would have 'ripped' Digne and mondays signing day may well have been on hold. As usual Godfrey was thrown in at the deep end, and did a good job too. Who will decide on Brands
re-election, it could be Coleman , Digne & Pickford?( The Brains Trust.)

Tough game for him that but he kept Salah as quiet as you'd hope any fullback would so deserves massive credit for showing tremendous defensive discipline.

At any given time, we were expecting him to one-on-one Salah or TAA without the possibility of help and win. The whole shape of the defense depended on it.

Let that sink in for a minute.

Now consider everything he brings to the table at the other end.

Just pay that man his money.

His defensive issues are overblown and what he does with the ball more than offsets it. I'd like to see him work on not putting his hands up every time someone crosses in front of him. Only a matter of time before he concedes a penalty from it. Ticky tack criticism but it isn't a great habit.
