I thought nobody would replace Baines for many many years. Digne is faster and does everything as well as peak Leighton except shooting from set pieces and pens. He’s also more vocal and leads the team and his link up with our top attackers like Richy and James is every bit as good as the old Baines Pienaar link.

I have a RS mate who thinks he is the GOAT. He is a yard dog who is only half as effective now he doesn't have VvD to mop up behind. Digne is the better defender and better going forward. Before VvD joined Kopp wouldn't even playing preferring a journey man right footed centre midfielder.

It's his first touch that impresses me so much, he just creates time and space by bringing the ball under control so easily.
