Just let me know where we're meeting for a scrap please lads.

What an absolutely brilliant interview. I had a tear in my eye reading that because it's saying top class players want to come and play for us again.

And for all you Silva doubters, (you know who you are), yet another player saying that speaking to Silva had a huge influence on him signing for Everton. This one even being encouraged to ask his boyhood dream club to agree to the transfer.

Oh, and what a fantastic left back. I actually don't think we could have done better. Great character too.

Interesting how lots of older ppl at Finch Farm wax lyrical about how the atmosphere at the training ground isn't what it used to be during the halcyon moyes era.....but all the players in interviews emphasise how happy they are and what a great spirit the lads have.

Not to revisit the whole Digne vs. Tierney thing, but Tierney is still 21, played a good match in the Europa against RBL by all accounts - kind of their B team, but whatever - and is still a pretty good LB. That being said, he would've cost more and I'm not sure I see the talent projection. I think they are comparable and Brands made a wise move from a $$$$ standpoint.

But MY LORD is he a massive improvement over Baines. I love Leighton, but he's been so bad, slow, ineffective the last couple years it's made Digne look like the greatest LB in team history. Not that he isn't good, but Baines had really fallen off a cliff performance wise.

Needs a song, tho.
