That was a real tough game for him yesterday and apart from a piss poor minute where postionally he was suspect twice in a minute 2nd half, he was absolutely solid as a rock.

For me, best signing of the summer. Made the position his own after 1 game. The lad is quality and hasn't put a foot wrong since he arrived

I said before we got to see him play that he would be the more solid of all our signings.

... Digne apparently turned down Liverpool several times before signing for us. He may be one of the very rare breeds who value being at the right club for him. No doubt we're also paying him a very decent wedge too, of course.

I know it's not how you're trying to make it sound, but it comes across there like he turned the RS down to join us. He turned the RS down when he was at PSG, instead chose to go to Roma on loan, then he turned them down a second time to go to Barcelona.

I must admit I was advocating signing Tierney as I’d never seen Digne play before. So happy we went the way we did. One of the top left backs in the league along with Robertson, Alonso and mendy.

He's been an absolute bargain.

Not spectacular in much that he does, but is still so good at everything that he's genuinely a top drawer left back. So impressed with Silva and Brands for sorting out the left back position for the next 5-6 years for us, for so little outlay.

Digne has a longish throw on him.

Noticed that too and approve! They also have a lower trajectory than Seamus’ throws. I love Seamus to bits but his throws are short and floated. It shouldn’t bother me as much as it does but I can’t help it.

I would rather sign very good players and then have to sell them to the best teams in the world, then not have these players in the first place.

At the very least, that scenario provides a steady stream of cheddar which I trust Brands/Marco to use well. Not-to-mention the improved footy on offer.
