Been our player of the season by a considerable distance. Seems like our fans can't wait to have a moan.
Even great players can have off games, and like I wrote earlier, Lucas seemed frustrated during our last few games. Resting him and playing Baines was the right choice, too bad it ended like it did.Been our player of the season by a considerable distance. Seems like our fans can't wait to have a moan.
Providing Baines has recovered to fill in.
Suppose it depends whether Silva took him off as a precaution or he was proper crocked. If it was the former he should be ok, 3 days should be enough as long as he can train Friday.
Is he not suspended now?
Still don't see him making a tackle last night, he just ran after him and the Huddersfield lad got his leg caught between Digne's and fell.
Is that even a foul?
Yes, he ran into him deliberately. It’s a fairly common way to bring a player down. It looks less cynical generally in certain areas of the pitch but in that circumstance, it made little difference. Definite red.Still don't see him making a tackle last night, he just ran after him and the Huddersfield lad got his leg caught between Digne's and fell.

I wouldn’t go as far as using the word hero but he certainly assisted us in gaining three valuable points.
We are playing for the Europa now & attempting to stop Big Red achieve the unthinkable by us actually winning a derby.
I still don't read or believe anything the bastards from the echo says.
It was a great foul, but it was awful awareness that led to it. These are the type of mistakes we need to cut out of our game. Boneheaded errors have cost us quite a few points this season.Got in there just before the Huddersfield player reached the box ....
Prevented a certain penalty by his actions or very good goal chance & probable different result.
Not one for praising professional fouls but that was a top drawer game saving Red card.
