At the end of the day martinez is their boss, not their mate. It doesnt matter if they like him or agree with him, they are paid a very good wage to do a job. If they dont like it put in a transfer request and do one. But why everton are paying their wages nothing short of 100% should be given, and i am not seeing that.

Its a delicate thing, a football squad. It shouldnt be, but it is. Remember when Hoddle made a remark to Beckham about not being able to do a trick or something? The senior players were astounded.

Maybe, just maybe, something like that has happened. Would be gutted if so.

It would be a great pity but there's little or no evidence to suggest any of the current crew are set to become Blue legends, so my attitude to the players is pretty much, "Screw you overpaid tossers. We'll decide who's fit to play."

Simplistic no doubt but there you go.

Very worrying and surprising judging by his relationship with the players last year, if true. Would also explain a lot though.

Spot on mate.

Your calling these proper blues Kopites mate

Horrified here

Hes right tho lad, all season ive been struggling to get proper streams, putting myself at risk of doing some bird just to follow the blues home and away, last time I went to Goodison we beat some cockney team and I sang all game from the stands, what a year 84 was.

These young uns dont understand the struggle, no loyalty, I reckon most of them come from divided families so prolly arent sure if they are red or blue yet, thats the benefit of being a wool, all my family support St Helens RFU, would rather be a wool than some johnny come lately who thinks Sky invented football in 1992.

We are painfully [Poor language removed] at the moment and have been for most of the season. The tactics we have employed are not working and for whatever reason the manager is not getting a response from the players. That in itself is bad enough and warrants fans asking for answers as to what has gone so terribly wrong this season. No-one can tell me I am not a fan etc if I choose to want a change of manager/formation/playing staff etc. we as fans are the life blood of football and have every right to have an opinion on what is currently happening at our beloved club.

Spot on mate.

martinez is paid a fortune to man manage and inspire. If he can't do that then he can "do one".

Does your boss have to inspire you before you work for your wage or do sit there waiting for him to tell you how good you are? And if he doesnt do you stop trying.

I think a lot of people decided that martinez wasn't for them and rather than change their opinion as he did better (and hands up, I used to hate him but I don't see how admitting you were wrong when thigns change is a weakness) have set their stall up. The worst thing in the world is to be wrong on the itnerent so if you said bobby wasn't up for it, well better hope bobby wasn't up for it.

I think a lot of our so called supporters are enjoying us being bad, relishing our bad form because it allows them to prove themselves right in their doubts.

Some truth in that, but it's a bit harsh.

I doubt any Blues are actually enjoying the current situation but, without a doubt, a few people are taking solace in being able to effectively say "told you so". However, I'd say the majority of people criticising Martinez on here are just voicing an opinion, without any real agenda.
