Louis Saha

He was truly shocking today but showed glimpses. He got in good positions and attempted a few crafty flicks through to Stracq.

But nothing came off. In fact everything came off as badly as possible. I don't suddenly believe he's lost all his class, I can only believe it's the lack of confidence.

Which I do believe he'll get back when he does score a couple. However unlike Moyes I can't see that happening any time soon, and am finally going to agree with most on here and say he should be dropped. Stracq with a creative midfielder behind is what I wouldn't mind seeing now.

He's not got long left, he's 33. Ship him off to some Turkish club and start bleeding a young striker into the squad.

Wasn't there an interview with Saha a few weeks ago where he was saying how he doesn't really chase down balls anymore to stay fit? I can't find it, but it was him going on about how he stays fit these days and downplaying any tension with Moyes.

In any case, I don't think he's at the point where he should be getting regular starts anymore. Same with Cahill. I think we've got to start playing Stracq, Big Vic, Vellios, McAleny, and Baxter up front instead.

I think there will be enough quality with these players to start grabbing us goals. Hell, even Donovan can play as a striker.

He gets injured all the ****ing time all the time you just watch him go for the rest of the season without a knock

Was just trying to find the same interview. He claimed that he had finally solved his injury problems....his solution--not bother to run unless he absolutely has to.

He's now got a scoring record this season on par with Howard.

Someone pass the bleach...

That miss at the start was terrible. The old saha wouldnt have took a touch, he would have slid it home first time after it bounced off knight.

This is 100% fact.

It just isn't coming off for him. Class is permanent, form is temporary. Right now, Louis Saha is in a really bad patch of form right now and nothing is working. Don't confuse poor form with him "being gash."

He's nowhere close to being gash. He also happens to play a position where being in poor form is magnified 10x. Think about it.

I'd say its his confidence....

BUT he's 33. He cant be our main striker in all fairness and I think the pressure has got to him to get goals - hence with him snatching ever shot his has and panicking.

He's still one the best footballers on our books and I still think he needs movement around him...but he's done at the club.

I've said it before though...he'll be gone in May and we'll be left with Vellios, Cahill, Anichebe as our strikers...

Players will be sold.

I agree that its a confidence thing.

But I think what people are saying is that at this stage in his career how long can we wait for a return to an inform Saha.

I thought today anywhere other than near their goal his touch was as beautiful as ever but as soon as he gets a wiff of their defence he just can't cope

I personally think his movement isn't too bad, it's just his touch and finishing is awful- seriously he can turn on a six pence look so primed to take a shot and scuff out it for a goal kick.

Get me on FFS!

I was thinking that mate, he holds the ball up quite well and i think surprised alot of people, would be nice to see his face in the starting 11.

Fair point but I think you could have chosen better wording...
